LocaRDS: A Localization Reference Data Set

The use of wireless signals for the purposes localization enables a host applications relating to determination and verification positions network participants ranging from radar satellite navigation. Consequently, this has been longstanding interest theoretical practical research in mobile networks many solutions have proposed scientific literature. However, it is hard assess performance these real world and, more importantly, compare their advantages disadvantages controlled manner. With work, we attempt improve current state art methodology place on solid grounding future investigations. Concretely, developed LocaRDS, an open reference data set real-world crowdsourced flight featuring than 222 million measurements over 50 transmissions recorded by 323 sensors. We demonstrate how can verify quality LocaRDS so that be used test, analyze directly different methods. Finally, provide example implementation aircraft problem discussion possible metrics with LocaRDS.
